MOSAIC is a participatory theatre for young and old people from Bonn with and without experience of migration and flight. We spend a year developing a theatre project with the participants on a topic that concerns our community today.
Meeting each other again, engaging in dialogue and shaping a society together that leaves room for dreams and utopias – that was the hope of all of us last year.
In the second year of the project, our participants therefore explored their hopes, wishes and demands with regard to living together in our society. With a focus on the social demands placed on women, a short film was created that questions the status quo and presents new ways of living together.
We would have loved to present the resulting scenes to you, dear audience, as a theatre performance! Live. In Person, in a close and intimate exchange. But also in 2021 things turned out differently. The coronavirus pandemic has forced almost the entire cultural sector to sit in front of their computers, destroying the shared experience of being touched together.
The short film MOSAIC was realised as part of the MOSAIC integration project. MOSAIC was made possible by funding from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees with funds from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community.
